MDI is an equal opportunity employer.
MDI provides equal employment opportunities to all persons regardless of race, color, religion, ancestry, sex, national origin, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation, political belief or affilitation, union activity or membership status, physical or mental disability, genetic information, job injuries, age or any status otherwise protected under an applicable federal or state law or local ordinance, unless it is a bona fide occupational requirement reasonably necessary to its operations.
MDI currently has no open employment opportunities.
Employees are represented by a local of the union of AFSCME. Hiring is done on an ad hoc basis, that is, when openings arise. If you are interested in applying for a position at MDI, you may send a letter of interest and resume to us at any time and it will be considered if and when a position opens in the job category you are interested in. When positions come open they will be listed above.
To be employed at MDI, an attorney must be a member of the Oregon State Bar. We are a criminal defense trial practice firm and we seek atorneys who wish to engage in a fast paced trial practice and who have a genuine desire to vigorously represent our varied clientele.
We also periodically hire third year certified law students for full time work in the summer after the second year of law school and potentially for half time during the third year of school. The students typically interview in March of their second year and employment typically starts around the following June. We do not hire research law students. All of our student employees are given positions involving regular court and trial work. Eligibility for work study money or non-profit grant money is an advantage, but not a requirement, when seeking employment.
